I have been intereted in Grecia for along time now– to retire. I have also been interested in Atenas, Sarchi and the San Ramon ares.
What, in your opinion are the differances, attributes, etc of all the above. Why did you pick Grecia?Weather, medical, real estate prices. We are two adults I am 60 my wife is 53/

I am also bringing my wife. will be in area Feb 12-15 Exploring several areas to retire
looking at Atenas-Grecia -San Ramon area . staying at El Cafetal. Make an appointment with a realtor- If interested let me know. Atenas seems really nice. Also San Ramon Housing is still afordable.
    Best of luck

Ok thanks for your great suggestions – So since I can not locate Rancho Mirador. I have two options, #1, El Cafetal # 2 Vista del Valle PLantation Inn. Which is the nicer place and more importantly which is a better base of operations to explore the areas – San Ramon- Atenas- Grecia?

Surprising comments . Great reviews on Trip Advisor. So you “say there are great places to stay” like what? What about Vista del valle plantation??

I can not find anything on Rancho Mirador. so what looks good and I think centrally located to the area I want to explore is either Vista del Valle Plantaion Inn or El cafetal or how about Posada Mimosa in Grecia. So if I want to explore the Aetnas, Grecia and San Ramon area which is a good base of operations for those two nights?

That was great info and very helpful. If I looked at these areas would two days and two nights be enough for an intial look/feel- (I am planning my 10 day trip) I am also looking at the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area and South
I realize that the San Jose highlands are vastly differant than the Mid -South Pacific but I am planning a trip- 8 days on the Pacific and two days in the Grecia- atentas -San Ramon area . They look very close to each other?. I guess one consideration is the weather

Thanks for your thoughts. The more I think about what is said- given our
situation in life- we are 61 and 52 years old and my husband is looking to retire in the next 4 years-( I guess I will go with him-ha ha)building does not make much sense,
I guess what I am trying to say is , given our ages, we really do not need a brand new stucture. In addition,I would not to have the time to supervise such an undertaking.

Thanks for your help – Will they take you around and show the properties?
They seem to have prperties all over CR. Although I am leaning to the Mid-pacific area
