Call Aerocasillas or Interlink, they provide a Miami address and options of 5-10 lbs. per month depending on your needs.
    They deliver to your door.

    Good luck

    Hi Michael,

I planted a lemon tree from seed 10 yrs. ago and though I dont recommend this as fruit is not guaranteed; I miraculously found fruit just this past week. Yes I am overjoyed and will share my little bounty when they become ripe. Real lemon trees do not exist in Costa Rica. There are similar tasting limes but not the true lemon. Leave your email and I will let you know when they are ripe. I am in Heredia.[quote=”jmday”]Hello
I have several recipes that require lemons as an definate ingredient…not just the juice which is easily available in concentrate.
Limes do not accomplish the same taste at all..in fact ruin the flvour of the original recipe.
As I am a serious cook I am trying to get as many resources as possible here.
It may seem a small point but I was hoping to find a good produce place to stock up on hard to find produce.
Thanks for any help anyone can render.

I recently had my German birth certificate authorized by the Casa Amarilla next to INS in San Jose. If you have any problems there is a German Embassy in Rohrmoser. I am a Canadian citizen therefore I needed nothing from Germany. Hope this helps, good luck, I am into my 6th year trying to get residency and have been through over a dozen lawyers. Most dont have good information regarding this process.

Yes I heard that “Time Out” has reopened. Also, “Brads” in Santa Ana, behind Scotiabank across from Multiplaza has been popular with expats on Friday nights.

Gold coins/ bullion are not illegal to bring to a country. Gold is legal currency. You MUST however declare it as such on your customs form. “Are you carrying more than $10,000 ?” I brought bullion down and after declaration I was taken to a room to show it to the officers. No problem! DO NOT try to conceal it like the poor immigrant Mexican worker who brought back $52,000 after years of hard work and saving to his family only to have it confiscated by the customs officers at the airport. He never got it back!

Thats exactly what happens in a lawless environment when the victim does not receive legal /police protection. As far as liability for their services…good luck with prosecution. I would rather take the criminals rights and stats for getting off scott free than the victims anyday.

I have had some success in applying tea tree essential oil to walls with mold. You can buy it in any of the Bio Salud stores.

Gold as a commodity is not available in Costa Rica. In the US you can only buy coins or stock. You have to go to Canada to buy bullion

Feel free and ask him to provide a look at other projects he has developed. Could be amusing! Ana is not his wife just his benefactor.

It seems Auto Mercado has slipped a lot lately…there are no more sale items, promotional items mysteriously run out unless you really push them. Megasuper on the other hand has prices on average 20% less…I’ve switched.

You can go to any local nursery (vivero) and get a hybrid which should bear fruit within 1 1/2- 2yrs. Mandarin, avocado are all good bets as well.
