Here is a little more info as I attend this church the previous poster has alluded to. The pickup info is correct to go to the International Baptist Church in or rather very near Escazu. First to answer the original poster. I am not aware of any english churches in Heredia but there could be some. However, I think that you will be well pleased and welcomed at the IBC. For more info they have a website, just type in International Baptist Church Costa Rica and you should find all the info you need. As far as getting there it would be easy to take the bus from heredia to SJ and walk I think about 5 or 6 blocks to the Gran Hotel and catch thier minibus. I live in Sabinella which is also a ways away and I catch the bus to SJ and then get a taxi to the church for about 3500 to 5000 colones depending on the driver and his meter, about $7-$10. I take a cab because I do not need to get there early for sunday school, I just go to the main service. But you will need to copy the directions from the website in spanish as I have yet to get a cab familiar with the church. An interesting thing I do after church is to catch the minivan just a short distance to Multiplaza Mall and eat in the food court and then take the bus from multiplaza back to SJ coca cola terminal which is about I am guessing 6 or 7 blocks away from the Heredia terminal, but be careful around this area and if you are not familiar walking take a taxi to the heredia terminal.
