I was in San Jose The Santa Fe new price was $44,000.00 US.
Hope that helps.
Thanks cfry, can you plse be more specific as to what model that quote was for? Is there a warranty in place similar to that of N. American versions?
pebo1MemberThanks David, was wondering if the new decree came into force would it make it more economic to import this type of car if there is a subsequent tax relief?
pebo1MemberThere may also be a huge change to import taxes I understand as there as a pending government decree. I would think that may make a considerable savings if one to import a car and/or other expensive items.
pebo1MemberYes thanks for that contact, her name is Jacqui Monacell, sounds like she provides a good service from what I see on her website.
pebo1MemberActually I was thinking there was a small company that acquire vehicles based on how much you want to spend and what type you were seeking. Then they import them from Korea or USA and do all the research, taxes, mechanicals and registration then charge a few hundred dollars for their service.
pebo1MemberThanks David,
I am only in the early planning stages, have the property now but won’t likely build till next year.
Just information gathering on this site from those with the experience.
Appreciate all the useful data.
pebo1MemberThanks David, I wasn’t aware these were available for the home.
Was also thinking of going with high end windows/patio doors ie Pella or similar.
But agree with your recommendation are they effective against burglars?
pebo1MemberWe are also planning to build in the next 2 yrs in the Orosi Valley area, all adjacent lots are 1-2 acres and many also sold.
We would prefer to construct our home without bars on doors and windows but understand that the reasons for security.
Guess we’ll have to address this issue carefully when the time comes.
pebo1MemberWe’ll actually be building in Central Valley east of Cartago in Orosi area. We really liked the temperate climate and green valley along with the friendly people.
Second choice was Atenas although a little warmer in the dry season. We have met with a recommended realtor Steve Riley from Scott’s list and will likely work with him, he’s a great guy and very tuned into that area.
It will take some time but just busy gathering data and comments from those who live and work there.
Thanks.
pebo1MemberThanks for all that feedback, it does answer my question re: finished space. I see also prices do vary depending on location and several factors. I believe one must also budget for architectural/engineering costs which can be up to 10% of completion costs I’m told.
Additionally it was recommended to purchase/bring furniture, fittings, car etc and container ship to CR. I would imagine San Jose would have all these things as I don’t think there is a Home Depot type retailer there.
Thanks again.
pebo1MemberHi,
Just curious as to current costs per sq. ft. for completed homes in your area?
pebo1MemberThank you, as it turns out I booked with Dollar—-so that’s a vote of confidence with them I have a TomTom I use in Canada but don’t think there are any maps for it.
pebo1MemberI think this is a concern in this region. I understand the Isla Moin project will mirror that of Los Suenos on the Pacific Coast which makes for some interesting prospects, I would like to think there may be some pricing advantages in projects in that region so was just soliciting comments from others with experience or interest on the East Coast. Thanks
