Did anyone think that it was strange that, the TB guys father-in-law is a Micro-biologist, working for the CDC, and TB is what he works on? Coincidence?

Oops, lo siento. I do not usually make mistakes in spelling. Give me a break, at least I’m not a repeat offender like some people who shall remain nameless.

    Terry,

I used the web site centralamerica.com with very good results. They only sell Central American flights and are associated with Tica Travel. They deal with all the major airlines, American, Delta, Continental, etc.

Frontier airlines is just now launching flights to SJO from 20 cities in the U.S. Their prices are well under $500. for this special launch promotion. I recieved the info from Travelzoo, but I’m sure info is probably on their web site. It will all depend on where your coming from. As far as other Airlines go, it depends on the time of the year your traveling. I flew from Tampa the end of last November for $438.on Delta, but not non-stop. If the price of fuel keeps going up the prices will too.

There are pickpockets in all Airports all over the world. Men should always carry their wallets in the front pocket, and woman should make sure their pocketbooks are all zipped up and carry them in front of them close to their body. They make a great little wallet like gadget that holds your passport and Airline tickets, money, credit cards, etc., that’s on a long cord you put around your neck and can drop down inside the front of your shirt. When your handling luggage, etc., this makes it real easy to pull out when it’s necessary to show them, plus no one can get their hands on them. Using a fannie pack (in the front of you) is good for carrying your digital camera. You can get those passport, ticket holders in K-mart, Walmart or any place that sells luggage.

If you just do a search (not Google) for hotels or B&B’s in Turrialba Costa Rica, it will pull up several options. The average cost in the green season is $47-$50., some include 2-3 meals. It is still a touristy area because of Irazu Volcano and some of the the Eco-tourist areas. You could always book a place for couple of days and look around for lower cost accomodations when you get there. Those places are more than likely not advertising on the web.

Isn’t CIMA connected to Baylor University Hospital in Texas. Maybe you could start there to gather information about working in CR.

There is a Pavones just east of Turrialba, and there is another Pavones just south of San Isidro De General. Both are inland so no surfing there. however Dominical is not far from San Isidro. There is a De Pavon just above Panama which is a big surfing area.

Obviously you have a vested interest in this, or you wouldn’t be so bloody angry about it.

    Terry,

All the subjects that have recent posts come to the top, even if someone has responded to an older post it will move to the top again. once you get to a subject that has no “new” posts in it , you know you been through all the latest posts.

    Alfred,

I deal with NYSEG, and all the other NY utilities, What I can’t understand is if the state of NY has credits for solar on your state income tax, how can they turn around and charge you a sur charge on the same thing. There is something really wrong with that, and should definately be challenged. Maybe a call or letter to the Public Service Commision. Better yet get it in the newspaper, or get some kind of consumer advocate group involved. It’s like you have a two-headed state government there, the right brain doesn’t know what the left brain is doing. Good luck!
