The Westin in Playa Conchal. Its an all inclusive and located on a white sand beach. Enjoy!
perrolocoMemberI like the one, “Costa Rica, we make easy hard.” I’ve seen that on a t-shirt and bumper sticker.
perrolocoMemberOne of my dogs here in Playa Conchal got a hold of one. I guess I was lucky and found him early enough. He was lying down, foaming at the mouth, so i grabbed the hose and flushed his mouth for a couple minutes. It worked. Now, when I let my dogs out at night and there is one (or sometimes more than one) on the porch they just run past and don’t even pay any attention to them.

They installed a motorized gate at my home with a keypad and remotes for the cars. Very nice job and I would recommend them. Hope this helps.
perrolocoMemberI live near Grande. There are actually a lot of options. Besides Country Day, there is La Paz Community School, Blue Ocean Academia Bilingue, Educarte and The Homeschool Academy. La Paz and Country Day are the only ones with High School (I believe). My son is in pre-school and goes to Blue Ocean. Not sure how old your kids are, but I have friends with kids that go to La Paz and I personally know a few of their teachers. I think you’ll be surprised and impressed with all the options available in the area.
perrolocoMemberWe had to deposit it in an account here in CR because we were unable to get our bank to sign off either. It was with Banco National. It was like a CD account, but they knew exactly what was needed for the immigration process. They then would deposit the specified amount each month directly into our personal account. We received our permanent residency before the five years was up and we were able to receive the remaining balance after three years, with a small “early withdrawal” penalty of course.
perrolocoMembersprite….kinda like that abortion being illegal in Costa Rica thing right?
perrolocoMemberTry Terry Anderson with Force One Security at dterryanderson@gmail.com They are based in Tamarindo but do work all over the country. I think they have a website too, but not sure of the address.
perrolocoMemberYep, they will burn your skin if not handled properly. Our gardener made us a bag last year, but he roasted them outside in a hole in the ground. Very good though. The fruit is delicious too.
perrolocoMemberLast time I was there they didn’t take Colones and a few places did take dollars. The currency is “Cordebas” (not sure if that’s spelled correct). Just like here, I found it easier to take money out at the ATM in local currency.
perrolocoMemberNicas only get thirty days….
perrolocoMemberIt is, but there is an accessory place directly (I think connected) to the gas station and yes, you’d be much better off doing it all in San Jose, I just thought you were asking for someplace in GTE.
perrolocoMemberThere is an accessory store next to the gas station in Santa Cruz. They do tint, radios, etc…. I’ve never used them, but have seen the store there. Also, I’ve seen a few car accessory stores in Liberia as well. Just outside of Belen on the right hand side (on the way to Liberia) there is a place that sells the nerf bars and “mataburros”. It’s just before the place that sells “superbloque”.
perrolocoMemberThey grow fine in Matapalo, near Playa Grande too.
perrolocoMemberI’d say to visit both areas for yourself and decide. It’s nothing like Jaco and they have recently halted all construction. The Coco/Hermosa area is know as “the land of the newly wed and nearly dead”. The beaches are nothing like the ones further south from Playa Danta all the way to Playa Junquial. Having said that, everyone has their own likes and dislikes, so check out both areas and decide for yourself.
