Certainly a horrible turn of events with Nancy. So sorry to hear about that. Thank you for sharing this and hopefully it will invite someone to consider their dream a little more pragmatically in the future. The benefits to living in CR are great but the crap still smells.

Skype works great. I use it all the time. Connects well even at slow speeds. Voice and video calls need more speed but work well.

I think you have a point. I would love to know what it is.

Which currency do you see being the next star of the world economy? I think most of the developed countries are going to be in a similar situation. Hopefully not in as deep as the doo doo the US is in but everything is relative.

Yeah I know about the costs. I have a ’92 Honda Accord and besides it costing $4k it seems like every month I have it in the shop…lol

I just need a more dependable solution for my wife when she is down here. She would kill me if she had to drive my car.

Sprite, you would really rather have the government controlling everything, even more than they do now?

The nice thing about a free market economy is that consumers can “elect” where to spend their money every day rather than waiting 2,4 or 6 years to elect representatives that rarely act completely in the best interest of the contingency. Thanks, but I will take my chances with the Ron Paul crowd as well.

I can only speak from my personal experience, but I spent much of my adult life without insurance and had no problem getting treatment, from vertigo to kidney stones. The places I went even gave me a hige discount and a payment plan. Maybe I was very fotunate or maybe I just got lucky but it was never a problem for me and perhaps becasue I tried to make all the payments I got a break. I don’t know what your uninsured experience was, but I guess life is what you make of it wherever you are.

It just stuck me as odd. I had read recently about lawyers, doctors and dentist earning an average of $750/ month. Seemed to me they would have been higher paid. But Scott makes a good point about foreign corps increasing the English speaking tech/support wages.

Good help is a bargin at any price;)
