A whole week so far this year. I’ve been visiting Costa Rica since the early eighties, have owned property for over 12 years and am not trying to change anything…tough crowd!

Oh well…a feeble attempt at levity on my part and a lesson learned.

Never thought of siphoning milk from the container into my coffee with a straw. Thanks for the heads up.
My comment was meant to be humorous, I apologize if it upset you.

A bit off topic , but spent a few hours at the police station in San Jose getting fingerprinted for pensionado application last week. I hope nobody noticed me grinning when the forty of us in the queue got up and moved a seat over every time someone went into the building to be processed.
It would be interesting to read other humorous Costa Rican anecdotes. I’ve only been here a week and have already spilled milk all over my shirt twice.
Dos Pinos really needs to take a look at upgrading their milk cartons in my opinion.

I’d like to go, providing that it doesn’t fall on the same weekend as David’s annual clothing optional barbecue…
Who knows Scott, maybe one of those fine looking ladies in the yoga class could work out the kinks in your butt that you’ve been experiencing 😀

Another free program you might want to install on your portable electronics is “Prey”.
Here’s a humorous account of Prey at work.

I’m not disagreeing with you, but am wondering if someone not being able to enter the US by land is also put on a no fly list over US airspace.

Agreed, but it does affect last minute travel. I know someone who had a minor offense when younger so could not go into the US. He would fly to CR landing in Mexico instead of the states because of this so I’m assuming that he can no longer go to central america?

This is a bit dated but an interesting read.

A Canadian family flying direct to Puerto Vallarta from Toronto can now be denied boarding the plane if not pre-approved by the US because they are entering their airspace.
I know a flight attendant that once mentioned that as soon as a flight enters US airspace, some of the rules change on board, like the number of people that can stand in line at the washrooms for example.

I think the first step should be to legalize industrial hemp. It’s absurd that the most beneficial plant on this planet is illegal…and it doesn’t even get you high.

They’ve had the technology as far back as just after the second world war. There was an incident in 1978 on Bell island in Canada that some think was a Soviet experiment gone wrong.
Interesting read if you’re into that sort of thing.

This has been going on all over the world for a few years now. Some say HAARP is messing with the ionosphere but who knows.

I agree with Costaricafinca and Versatile. It would be nice if the forum was about Costa Rica, as the Website suggests.
I’m really not interested in reading about US politics or conspiracy theories, so rarely read this forum anymore.

As you know, I am absolutely thrilled with your new happy points feature. I would love love love to see a separate branch for conspiracy theories, US politics, feminist issues, and bleeding children videos, so that I don’t have to constantly weed through the actual topics regarding Costa Rica .
