    SLOWwwww is not the word. They have you wire your deposit to an attorney in Flordia and the funds are held only for a few days then they are deposited into Paragon’s account. They somehow can’t reverse the situation when it comes to sending us our refund. They mail the check regular mail from CR. They did give us a tracking number that is only good in CR,once the check leaves the country you can’t track it, plus you need to read spanish….So, that did us a lot of good. Just pray the check does not get lost…..NEED I SAY MORE????

    FYI. We also filed a complaint with the BBB of Flordia. I will let them know we finally received our refund. Our complaint should still show open as well as others I know that posted complaints also.

    I’m posting because I just received an e-mail from Scott asking if we received our refund. I want everyone to know that we did receive our refund from Paragon Properties of CR. It was not easy!!! You can read my prior postings and you can read our story. The first of the refunds we received in in the middle of July and the second one finally came in the middle of August. The refund checks have to be mailed from CR from the President,Esteban Soto C.. they are written on a Bk of America, so if you don’t have an account now, go open one so the funds will be avaiable in 24 hours, not days. They will probably change banks now….Anyway, try to get everything they say in writing. Thanks to this web site,current and past Paragon Properties customers can read for themselves experiences that others are having or HAD. I wish all of you the best of luck and I will go to CR to see the beautiful country even after this experience. I will deal with a local realtor that I’ve spoke to several times and has helped me in the struggle to get my refund. GOOD LUCK

    NOTE: Our partner sent Lyle an e-mail yesterday and still no reply as to the status of the refund. Lyle was concerned that I was not on the agreement of sale, but my husband and brother-in-law are, as well as this 3rd partner. So, we are giving them every opportunity to respond.

    Lyle told our partner, he checks it first thing in the morning. then told him that nobody reads this web site…????

    I e-mailed Paragon and Lyle Wexler again yesterday and still no answer. Our partner did receive a phone call from Lyle Wexler after reading my commment yesterday. Lyle told him that the check was being process this week. That again was what we were told on July 9th. So, my answer to your question is ” I DON’T KNOW”!!!

    I just received an e-mail from Lyle Wexler confirming Paragon Properties decided to accept our request for refund on the two properties. It included the dollar amount and that we should expect to be paid no later than the end of June “07”.

    I just received a phone call from Lyle Wexler, stating he has approval to issue us a refund of our deposits on Lot#25 in Ocean Palms South and Lot#80 in Buena Vista. He is going to put a rush on the refund. He said it should take about 4 to 6 weeks. That would put it towards the end of June. I thanked him and said I would post positive notes as they happen. I will let you all know as soon as the refund is received. Thanks for listening.

    I’m still waiting to hear from Bill Gale because it seems that Lyle Wexler has to go through him as well as Esteban Soto C. Our partner has not heard from Bill Gale either. I’ll let you know when they call and what they say. I’ll be glad to post positive information as soon as such happens.

    I heard from Lyle Wexler, he said the same stuff about the 180 days and said I must be that customer that is hard to make happy and he will have to get back to me after talking to Bill Gale and Esteban Soto C.
    I just want my deposit money back.
    I have not heard from my partner so that must mean he did not get a return call from Bill Gale.
    If so, I’ll post tomorrow. Good Night

    Bill Gale, our partner tried to call but you are out to lunch, he left a message to call him or me. I missed Lyle Wexler’s call. I called him back and am waiting to hear back from him. I will post when we hear from you.

    Bill Gale, We purchased lot# 25 in Ocean Palms South and Lot# 80 in Buena Vista. You know who our friend is and he looked at our lots as well as his. Albert Hayat was in the office with you that day. I will now try to call you. Roxann

    I have been talking to another man who went down in January 07 and asked for a refund the next week. He has been told he has to wait for the refund in the next quarter, which we are in now. He hopes to receive his money probably by the last day of the quarter (6/30/07). He is waiting for 40K, we are waiting for 96K. How many more people are waiting and how much money $$$ ?? He is keeping me posted. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in Flordia and he has also. We were told we could get our money back for any reason with in the 180 days by our sales person, Albert Hayat, who also knew a friend of ours was going to look at he property for us. He said the refunds took about 30 or 45 days. I also had a conversation with Bill Gale because Ocean Palms South was not free and clean at the time he wanted us to sign and send in the deposit. I haave aletter from him stating he is holding the lot for us until this lein was paid off. We did not send in the second deposit until Jan. 07. I just want everyone to know what is going on with their delay tactics. Something has come up and we need our refund deposit money now!! Roxann

    THANK YOU. I have sent Bill Gale several e-mails and no response. Our partner has tried to call him and was told he is out of the country until this wed. and also tried to call the president Esteban Soto Campos and no luck. Roxann
