Yes, from Charlotte I would imagine it would be beyond ridiculous to charter a flight. I am finding that $17,000 is the norm for a light jet from Texas to San Jose (2.5 hour flight) because there is no efficient way for the charter lines to formally organize interested passengers to take your “dead leg” flight back from SJO to Texas – or wherever – and vice versa.
I am unable to find if there are any cruises/charters from the Texas coast (Galveston?) to the Caribbean coast of CR.
If anyone has any info about that, I’d be interested in hearing about it. (By water this time, instead of by air). Thanks again.
Check with American Airlines. I brought 2 American Staffordshire Terriers, from Texas, also on the list of snub-nosed dogs, and had no problems. They are not snub-nosed dogs, but that is another story.
The only restrictions are temperature related. If you check their website, you can get all of the info.sbruceMember
It would probably easier to purchase a new ice cream machine…
I have a new ice cream machine. It requires rock salt to make ice cream.

sbruceMemberWe just came back yesterday from George’s tour and I second Tom’s opinion. It is very informative and is indeed worth every penny. It is as much information as you can possibly absorb in 4 days. We met lots of people who had already moved to Costa Rica after taking George’s tour.
sbruceMemberI did read your wife’s review of the tour. I’m glad she finally got to go to the beach!. Well, it’s settled. We’ll be there in April. We will arrive 3 days before the tour and want to do some sightseeing. Would love some hints about where to stay. Want to go to Arenal and ALL over. We’ve bought maps, books, videos. It’s all very exciting. My son went to school in Tulsa. sharon in San Antonio,TX
