but are we taxed when we bring it back across the border?
scaraMembercan you bring electronics and other items back to c.r without paying a duty?
scaraMemberare you saying that AFTER you go to a hospital you can negotiate the price..but YOU CANNOT do that at cima? is this for office visits too?
scaraMembercan’t complain about the price of tests..had 17 tests done on one vile of blood came out to be about $170 bucks in heredia..the landlady says the docs get a kick back from the labs they send you to..i don’t know i’m new here…don’t mind paying a little more for convience…just don’t like being taken for a chump…new yorkers are like that lol..ANYWAY , who can be sure ..maybe yes maybe no..still love the country and it beats the crap out of how we were treated in NEW YORK.. about THERE i could REALLY tell you horror stories
scaraMemberdavid, are you saying that from the first visit YOU got better, and by the second trip your wife did too, and he didn’t charge you for the second visit? and what was his fee?
scaraMemberi went there 4 times and never paid more than 60 a night..use the frommers guide it was my bible and try the blue monkey in man antonio…it’s azul mono or something like that you’ll see it in the book also try eating in the resturant that has the airplane in the entrance the aztec snapper is great..good luck and i’ll join u all at the end of the month
scarascaraMemberthats just it..we have not picked one spot…just going to see all of the central valley for the first year and rent ..next year i will invest in something in the meantime we want to access the wonderful health care thats become soo unaffordable in NEW YORK so thanks dm we’ll take any and all the recomendations we can get
WE LOVE YOU GUYS..
FRANK A.K.A SCARA and wife annascaraMemberhow expensive are they? we heard electronics are more expensive in the states..are we better off buying one stateside then paying additional for the softwaremaps or getting one preloaded in cr and if so where?
thanks alot..scaraMemberyou e mail was not fowarded…get the book the top ten lyme disease treatments…also look on the web( sorry i can’t copy/paste) DR..BURRASCANO..the most knowledgeable ldmd…look at http://www.lyme2net.org under advanced treatments..and get back to us if you need more info..we will be in CRnin 2 weeks
scaraMemberthanks FC…if the doctor that treated you WAS NOT a LLMD..then you may still need further treatment..i.e antibiotics..the trick is which third generation antibiotic!
! I saw films and met people who claim they are 95 to 100 % better even after having it for many years..so we BOTH may benefit from finding a LYME LITERATE MD.. IF we cannot find one, and so far we haven’t, we might try using a regular M.D. who will allow himself to be consuelled by an american LLMD.. we will simply pay for the american consultation while the c.r doc orders any tests and prescribes whatever drugs they both deem necessary..In the meantime any info you can find about the h.b.o. treatments can be useful..and my wife says she’d love to take you up on your offer to help each other..
thanks for your concern and your help
FRANK& ANNAscaraMemberwe are sorry to hear about your dog…what part of the country did the dog get infected in?
FRANKscaraMemberTHANKS for your help…might have to settle on a rheumatologist..but a llmd, or infectious disease doc would probably be best…maybe even a top neurologist since her lyme bacteria seems to be effecting her feet and spine..then again 4 neurologists in ny couldn’t find a thing wrong..only after she tested positive for LYME were we on the right trail…anyway, thanks again..everyone here has been so nice
FRANKscaraMembermaybe she can start off living in C.R. during the rainy season, and if she feels better tolerate the dry season..thanks again for your wishes and we will be in touch..
FRANK…
scaraMemberDEAR ALFRED,
So sorry to hear of your wife’s illness. If you are not satisfied with her treatment in the states you might internet GERMANY’S cancer treatment program..I hear they use more alternative meathods and aren’t as quick as the U.S to prescribe the most expensive patented synthetic drugs
with reguard to ANNA,I was thinking along those lines..might have to settle for a good G.P. willing to take direction from the states..I heard of a HARVARD doc there who even makes house calls…(saw it in this website somewhere) but they neglected to say who..might also have to send for test kits from california..
I hope you are able to make the change to C R….it sounds as you , your wife, and C.R. ARE a great match
sincerely,
FRANK & ANNAscaraMemberan infectious disease specialist will do..but only if he is literate in treating lyme..a disease that is NOT common in C.R. he would have to have been trained in the u.s. or perhaps as another here in the forum said, be consultated by an american doc..do you have one that can be asked?
much thanks for your help. they people here in this forum are really great! -
