Thank you for taking the time to respond. unfortunately the place we are touring soon (Stanley, Falkland Islands)has limited banking facilities, ZERO ATM’s …and prefer British pounds for touring purposes. Really out in the sticks they are!! However, we will now check if they would take Euro’s instead.
seawaderMemberThank you so much for responding. Much appreciated.
seawaderMemberScott. We are long time residents. You are certainly not mistaken – we have been away from home for some time returning end Jan. Aware of fine which is not that great. Point is: can the Marchamo be paid at the usual outlets banks etc after 15th Jan?? Will other ‘latepayers’ living down our way have to trek all the way to SAN JOSE just to pay Marchamo after 15th??
Thanks.seawaderMemberFascinating stuff! This change in regulations (if correct!) would adversely affect so many of us ex-pats on fixed incomes here in Costa Rica. We look forward to hearing what the ACTUAL story is.
seawaderMemberThanks to all who responded to my query. Much appreciated!!
seawaderMemberO.K. Thanks .. but really do not understand your response? I have an existing Pensionado/Residente Cedula & recently applied for a PERMANENT STATUS Cedula(which was granted!) Once the new Cedula is received how many years (from date of the new Cedula) before having to renew once again?
