sprite is right on.. πŸ˜€

I’m surprised at your response. because that sounded a bit knee jerk reaction.

cuba and venezuela

would be not good candidates

but surely you jest

please do you research before you make a statement like that

Costa Rica has a better system since more people are involved with politics than the masses at the U.S.

anyone know the voting %%% of people that actualy participate in the U.S elections???

not withstanding anomolies like the messiah obama but generally.

you bring up a good point and your right. the question I have is this.

question: Where is All The Money???

the increased proposals to raise taxes is NOT the answer. I truly believe that they do need like you said to work on collecting taxes and learn how to do things the right way. but they won’t

why??

because its NOT thier money at stake πŸ˜€

think about this

gas is the most expensive here

all imported items like electronics are the most expensive

cars are the most expensive

transit fines are the most expensive now in the world I think?? πŸ˜€

where is all the money??? they surely not investing in our roads… ??

where in gods name is that money… this is the problem here..

I mean.. look at the caldera highway a project that has been going on for many years..

yet, the problems that continue is comical..if I built the highway then its understandable because I know nothing about building highways

but these are professionals

as a previous brick and mortar business I had to pay $2500 per month for caja for employee’s if not I would risk going to jail.. and they would send inspectors. if I was behind 1 or 2 months.. this could have been problematic for me.

yet the same government that would send me to jail.. owes the caja a ton of money..:shock::shock::shock:

this is what I am saying.. there is no effiency with government and this will continue.. the only bright idea that politicians ever have really is the same play book.

lets create another tax.

look don’t get me wrong

costa rica has its problems.. but its still the best place to be with its proximity to the U.S.

I am waiting for them to start taxing feria purchases :D:D:D

the new tax on S.A. will be a cash cow for them.. but this wil not fix the problem because they will need money again soon for something else

and the question would be

but where is all the money???

even though only 25% of people paid that luxury tax.. ok.. so it did not hit its mark that was supposed to build homes for the poor

so where is that money???:D

used to bug the hell out of me also

so I decided to study and immerse myself in structuring all my affairs where I actually don’t pay any taxes.

well let me rephrase this

we all pay taxes..

2 times

1 coming in

and 2 going out

for example a W2 in the US

if you make $100

you wind up with $75 or less

then you take that $75 and go and live buying good and services.. which you more taxes

so i wonder how much we really pay.. i would say 50% or more.. between gas tax, property tax, homeland security tax, cell phone tax, insurance tax, welfare, social programs, taxes , taxes and more taxes

can you imagine.. over half of what you make goes out paying taxes.

and finally as the ultimate “bend over” you have these incompetent politicians.. out wasting your money on things they should not be spending them on.

so what is someone supposed to do..

get into a fetal position and cry :cry::cry::cry::cry:

NOPE :):):):):)

and although many people will balk at this for whatever reason feeling morally justified that since they have to get into the fetal position and just pay pay pay..

while others don’t ..

what can I say..

life is not fair πŸ˜€

here is a perfect example

here in our beautiful country of costa rica

these incompetent idiots and when I say idiots I refer to governmental idiots whether its here or in the U.S.

create this idealistic plan to lets tax the luxury homes here.

so my friend who always follows the letter of the law

was actually one of the noobs that actually paid this tax

so what happens besides the 85% or so that did NOT pay.

nothing…

except comes the following year when the luxury tax was due again…

and my friend decided that “hey… ths is not fair and was deciding whether he should pay again… but it was too late

they put out a list public list of sorts of all the people that paid last year.. to make sure they pay again :shock::shock:

what about the other 85%?????

so the story continues

life is most definitely not fair

but thats OK because once you understand this.. you can learn the strategies to make it fair.

I have a question for the group since I am not really involved politically so maybe I thought someone could help me

is ron paul the only guy in office that actually has common sense.. and is willing to speak the truth???

are there any others like paul in goverment??

if not then we are in heaps of trouble

I have to give kudos to this guy.. this is a guy who believes in home runs.. not like me

great reply.

and regarding how many homeruners have I ever hit in my career??

NONE!!!!

why??

because I don’t aspire to look for the homes runs but I consistently hit singles. day in and day out. πŸ˜€ I let the big boys go after the home runs

but this is my choice.

and when my sons grow up I will teach them that they can do or be whatever they want in life and to never let anyone tell them different.

and this is what allows me to live stress free. and do whatever it is I want to do without depending on any goverment bullshit.

I have no debt and love my life I have a family that I love and I care for them.

if you can sum up my current mission statement

To Love
and to be loved
and NEVER stop learning.

but sprite your a pip.. πŸ˜€

first of all lets bring it down a notch.. I don’t even know why I even respond to you since it is NOT my intentions to change your point of view. I could really care less but

your views of the world are just that.. nothing more or less. just like your views with sexuality. and your personal environment I’m sure is a direct reflection of your beliefs. that is all.

you ever hear the phrase

“reality is negotiable””

i believe that the problems we have in the U.S. are mostly because the masses have given up thier own god given right of independence, individual thought and fail to take any real action. instead they rally behind these paper politicians just like they did when obama was campaigning.. to come and save them. instead of assessing where they are right now as opposed to where they want to be and start moving in that direction.

its like the decision that you made sprite to live here in costa rica.. that was a conscience decision made by you and whatever it took to get to that point you took a decisive action and made a choice. as with alot of people on this forum.

just that choice alone separates you from 99% of the masses.

you have the freedom to make those kinds of choices. just like like the freedoms here.

we live in truly incredible times right now and with more opportunity than ever. BUT one needs to reboot thier mind and the past beliefs that are of no use and learn and implement.

the past does not equal the future.

your absolutely correct!!! it is your choice to strive to achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. you have to decide exactly what it is you want and devise a plan to get there and start. with the awareness to see what is working and not working and make the adjustments along the way.

there is a great quote I always remember that is soooo true in todays society

”True Maturity is achieved with the realization…. that no one is coming to the rescue”

who would pay THAT for such garbage???

the uninformed masses.. thats who.

the same masses of people that are rioting in the streets, the same masses of people that would line up on black friday at walmart and stomp people who get in thier way for specials.

i say uniformed because why else can someone eat this mierda. knowing its not even real food.. but still eat it because it taste good.

the $17 dollar big mac cost you that if your unfortunate to be using dollars.

so right now i guess a swiss citizen if he went to the U.S. for a vacation.. they must think how cheap everything is..

money is relative

if your worth 100 million dollars than 3000 a night is nothing.. and in these peoples world thier day to day living is very different than our day to day

Im not saying better

just different.. because whether or not you pay $50 a night or $3000 its all about the memories in the end.

I’m sure if you took your fruits stand friend from sabana park for a tour of your penthouse he would probably say the same for you LOL

so like everything its all relative

what is OBSCENE

is using $$$ for influence that is causing much of the worlds suffering with greed and no regard for causality.

Im kind of shocked that they would consider here as I dont see costa rica such a high end place

but what the heck do I know

I wanted to just say that you are one of the very few people that actually can write in a very real objective and pragmatic manner.

NOT negative or positive but a very real and well balanced view based on experience without any hidden agendas or preconceived values.

you should start a blog

thank you

your right!!! as you always are πŸ˜€

and I did because I don’t live in san jose now.

and I am not whining.::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: i made an observation based on my PERSONAL REAL LIFE experience here in San Jose.

I mean if i had posted an article titled:

” growing healthy plants on high rise balcony and whether or not being so close to the new stadium affects its growth”

and Scott Oliver made a comment regarding this

I would listen because you have REAL LIFE PERSONAL experience. as opposed to someone who reads about growing plants on a high balcony

please forgive me if I appeared to be whining.

here let me rephrase this so I don’t appear to be whining

Geeeeeee!!!! what an excellent article I guess San Jose must be one of the places to be in the future.

thank you for that πŸ˜‰

Illegal prostitution futhers the sex trade.

absolutely!!!! one would think we would have learn this lesson with prohibition.

and although I may question the integrity of the del rey girls.. πŸ˜€

i think the problem more or less is culturally. its interesting how most of our adult lives we have been pounded with values and beliefs that many hold today that are not only unfounded but incorrect!!

its only when one becomes aware can progress can attained

I just watched an older movie

the trumen show

excellent flick if you have the chance.

but was interesting is the transformation of jim careys character.

first he became aware.. after that there was no stopping him.. but unfortunely most people are too asleep to wake up from the mess we are all in.

thank goodness for the

Freedom Fighters club :D:D:D:D:D:D

or maybe we could start the he-mans women haters club from the little rascals :D:D:D:D
