Thank you for the link. Very sad to hear of this tragedy. Very little information in the US about this.
stevekwMemberThis is a follow up to all that made suggestions to my earlier post. Last week I met with Neo Architects and Adobe Builders. Both were extremely professional and showed me some of their projects currently under construction. I still haven’t settled on anyone yet, but they were great and certainly at the top of my list.
stevekwMemberWanted to let everyone know that I got two responses to my request for info: two companies were quick to email me back: Sergio Bogarin, Neo Architects and Patrick Heinen, Adobe Builders. They answered me quickly and I will be meeting them on my upcoming trip to CR. I’ll keep everyone posted. FYI; I sent CR Builders/Architects.com an email a week ago and still have not heard from them.
stevekwMemberThank you. I’ve heard of Neo, and will contact them.
stevekwMemberI totally agree. It’s impossible to expect anything but disaster if the builder and architect don’t visit the site from the very beginning. Although my site is relatively easy to build on, there are always obstacles, trees, issues and views to consider. I have done a topographical survey already, so I’m ready to go.
stevekwMemberThanks everyone for the quick responses to my message. I don’t want anyone to outsource. I want to work directly with the architect and builder. I’m a retired builder, but don’t want to try it alone in CR. I noticed the lack of any project photos on the CRBuilders.com website and thought that was a little strange. Most reputable builders and architects are quick to show you projects they’ve built.
Again, please forward me any info you may have on anyone I can check out. -
