Thanks for all the info, I would like to do this therapy in conjuction with hyperbaric oxygen treatments, I have a friend John who gives the oxygen treatments here near Turrialba for a reasonable price, John Erb is 81 yrs old and looks like he’s in his 60’s. He’s been taking the oxygen treatments his whole life. I can try both of these treatments for a month or two and get a new calcium score and see if there is any improvement. Don’t know yet whether my private INS policy will cover any of this. I really liked the article recommended from Patients Medical. I will keep you informed on the results. Thanks again. Steve
stevezimMemberSue,
My insurance agents name is Jose Miguel Anglada and his number is 8384-0554. I’ve been very happy with him.

stevezimMemberDavid,
I provided INS with statements of pymts for the previous 2 yrs of my former insurance, then I switched to INS and avoided the preexisting conditions. I pay yearly but it avgs $167 a month.
stevezimMemberWhen I bought my INS International insurance I was told I could avoid preexisting conditions by providing 2 years of payments to my former insurance which I did. You
may want to ask about that. I like the travel insurance idea, toostevezimMemberScott,
It is 45 meters squared, has electricity, the hot water is the typical electrical shower head, has a large fridge, gas stove, tile floor. Internet access is through the 3g data card, although i am getting a zoom 3g wireless router so the whole area hss internet.
I’ll check out your rental section. Thanks for answering.

stevezimMemberI am using the 3G USB data card and am happy with it. The only problem I have had is it disconnects from time to time and I have to relog on. But it is the only option for me as I live in the mountains so I am happy to have something. And the cost is reasonable. Before I was using slow dialup and because of paying for the phone call to Rasca my phone bill was sky high and couldn’t receive calls while online. So this is way better.
stevezimMemberI remember when I was learning spanish I was introduced to a lovely baby and got some strange looks when I said Que Rico! instead of Que Linda!
And the time at the Farmacia I said I wanted some pascinas instead of pastillas.
stevezimMemberHello,
Has anyone seen instant pudding for sale here in Costa Rica? I love to make good ole Southern banana pudding. Or Colby Jack cheese? As to the Rib eye steak, I bought one last week at Mas por Menos and it was good but didn’t have that distinctive Rib Eye steak flavor.
Thanks,
Steve
stevezimMemberYes, I agree that teaching English on your own without any training is very difficult. However there are many schools around San Jose that need teachers and will train you and have materials. After working for these companies awhile, you gain the confidence to teach private lessons on your own. By the way David, I would love to have the materials you talked about if you don’t need them anymore.
stevezimMemberMaybe your daughter could teach English to earn some spending money here in Costa Rica and save the $30K. It would give her time to settle in and learn the differences in culture.
stevezimMemberMy #1 wasn’t really a negative thing, so I have a new one. #1. Taking your car to be repaired, and the guy repairs what’s wrong, but changes other good parts for bad ones he has laying around so you get the car back in worse shape than when you took it in.
stevezimMemberOne lake that is used to pump water up when demand is low and use the water for electricity generation when the demand is high is in Tennessee, check out this link… http://www.tva.gov/sites/raccoonmt.htm
