MemberThis site is to promote Scott’s book, maps, “most-recommanded”-realtor-friends, the real-estate-ads etc. etc.
The word is commission-commission-commission and NO competition. This website is also the “home-base” from his partner M. Claveria who sold 50 houses in 12 months (not bad, very good commission).
So this website generates a lot of income, so Scott, please don’t cry, many people in Costa Rica suffer more than you do.
The information here is good and valuable, but not only thanks to Scott, but also thanks to the numerous free contributions on the forum.BTW: more than 50% of the articles are ads and try to persuade you to do business with Scott (or one of his friends). Nothing wrong with that, but -again- please don’t cry when our Gringo-friends don’t visit Costa Rica for a while and less money is spend here.
This is my last post too.
Thanks and good luck to everybody in Costa Rica, great country.

MemberI am sure that the majority will NOT pay. But (example) if “only” 3,000 members pay $ 5 per month…….. you will have a great life in Costa Rica, that’s what they call PURA VIDA !!!

MemberProbably the “Twenty Minute No B.S. Telephone Consultation With Scott Oliver – Author of ‘How To Buy Costa Rica Real Estate Without Losing Your Camisa’ – Special Offer at US$99” didn’t bring much (or not enough).
https://www.welovecostarica.com/public/2181.cfmNow you try this ? Real bad in Real Estate Country ?
But your partner is still doing very well, isn’t she ?sumaSal
MemberYou need to invest in an approved project by the government. Not just every investment is good enough….. ask your lawyer !
sumaSal
MemberIs this project under “condominium-law” ? How much is the monthly condo-fee ? What is included ?

Member¦ Ask for Roberto in Esterillos-Oeste, don’t have his phone number but everybody knows him. He lives in a small house between the “restaurant with the pirate-ship” and the church.
¦ Or ask Mercedes (cabinas Mercedes in Parrita), her contractor did a good job with the construction of her cabinas.sumaSal
MemberUse the “search messages” and type the name, you will find answers…..

MemberI have lived in Esterillos for a while, very quiet, nothing to do, only visitors in the weekends. If you want “the action” Jaco is close by. I prefer Esterillos above Jaco.

MemberThe best thing to do is visit Costa Rica and the place(s) where you want to be with your boat.
It is very expensive !sumaSal
MemberWas there a few months ago. I am not an owner or whatever, don’t have any relationship with ‘m.
Stopped at the guard-house, told the guard that I wanted to have a look and that I might be interested in buying. He asked my name, wrote down the plate of the car.
We went in, had a look for about 25 minutes and than left and said “hasta luego”.
It’s soooooooooo easy…… like on most places (just be nice)sumaSal
MemberThe COSTA LINDA in Jaco reduced prices drastically. They accept almost any reasonable offer. It is not in the magazines, not on the phone, but just have a talk with the general manager….

MemberScott is right, there are NOT 2,000 completed condos for sale. Maybe they add the “temporarily postponed” projects.

MemberQuote: “My own property has increased in value about 3 and a half times what I paid for it three years ago”
But can you sell it for this price now ? Because that’s what it’s all about… 😉

MemberThe road is still under construction, will take a year (or so) before you can use it over the total distance.
