We rented a house right downtown in Atenas, next to a field, covered with weeds and unsightly shrubs. Also they had cows and horses grazing there. The windows had no screens and we suffered tremendously from the mosquitos until I discovered if you put on the ceiling fan in the bedrooms, the mosquitos left you alone. I guess it was too cold and windy for them. It got rather cold for us too, but I was rather cold then be digested by these little buggers.
Talia2001MemberI live in Canada and to the outside world this is the safest place to live. However, white collar crime is rampant and the Canadian authorities are helpless against these sharks. If you live here and have a little money and are naive and gullible, I can assure you that you will have a much simpler life after these goons relieve you of your savings and dreams of a comfortable retirement.
So a robbery at gun point is much more preferable. At the most I will lose a couple of hundred dollars cash and some credit cards, which can be cancelled and not millions which will cost me over 10 years of trying to recover with no end in sight, exorbitant legal fees, and is destroying my health and my family. So which do you prefer?Talia2001MemberYou usually get what you pay for……even in Costa Rica. The dentist I used in San Jose is Dr. Telma Rubinstein of the Prisma Dental Clinic. She is very good and will try to accommodate your schedule. Is she cheap? Compared to what?
For me, the money spent was well worth it and a lot less than here in Canada.Natalie
