I have to second Rkhamm55’s experience with Prismadental. 13 crowns and 2 root canals later, I was able to spend a month in Atenas and still spend over $8000 less than the dental work would have cost in the States. The only negative I have is that appointment times are like stop lights and speed limits in Naples. I had to wait over an hour on two of my three visits, otherwise exceptional treatment and results.
Thanks for your post.
Have decided to go ahead with Scott and Charlies recommended Dentist in Escazu Dr Mario Garita. 1st appt next week.!
Will report my experiences when I’m done so that others will have some info to fall back on. Ahh dental work, one of those necessary evils! Looking forward to having it all behind me.:D:D

Thanks for the sage advice chariotdriver ~ I too suffered gum damage from the dentist I visited in San Vito, and he didn’t even offer a dam for protection! simply started grinding away my old fillings, I could taste the metallic substance in my mouth and felt quite ill afterwards yikes!
Am still seeking any recommendations out there for competent dental work in the San Isidro/San Vito/ Ciudad Nielly area. Many Thanks in advance!
my wife had extensive work done – 8 root canals, 13 crowns,
1 bridge at Prisma Dental in Este de Plaza Mayor Rohmoser, San Jose. toll free 1-866-741-8194. Dra. Telma Rubinstein and Dra Jamie Lizano Aguilar. All staff is bilingual and very
excellent and caring.
Thanks somuch for the recommendation!
Am still hoping to find a dentist closer to my neighbourhood (San Vito area,or San Isidro where I have friends I can stay with) as undergoing extensive dental restoration in San Jose would add a large expense to the budget (travel & lodgings/food) not to mention being away from my lovely CR homeduring the small window I am able to be there for this winter.

I too am seeking a recommended Dentist. preferably in the San Isidro , or better yet San Vito or Ciudad Nielly area. I have a mouthful of 30+ year old amalgams, need a few crowns, and some cosmetic work. I am a part timer in the San Vito area and have tried 3 dentists in San Vito with results going from bad to worse, yikes! Any recommendations most welcome, thanks!
