[quote=”mblarsen”]I recently returned from a George Lundquist tour (terrific) and now, even more, want to move to Costa Rica. I have decided that my next step should be an immersion language class. There are a lot of them on the internet. Does anyone have a recommendation for a particular school? Thanks for any help. I am headed to a language school in Panama. I have chosen “Habla Ya” a very highly regarded immersion school in Boquete, Panama. (http://www.hablayapanama.com/) I did a lot of research, and not surprisingly, the best ranked schools are affordable, immersion based with lots of one-on-one time, and make the experience fun and interesting. There is a real opportunity to learn about the history, culture, people and have a lot of fun along the way! I also asked my brother, who has lived in Costa Rica for 20 years for advice & he recommended either Guatemala or Panama for quality and price. I am thrilled with my choice and the school has been very helpful with arranging my home-stay family, travel & placement. They called me right away as soon as I emailed them and have been wonderful about helping me with all my arrangements. I filled out the questionaireson-line and have taken a test to help determine my Spanish language level. This school offers classes from 1-4 people as well as private one-on-one ……which is the preferred method in Guatemala as well.
Price is a concern for me and it’s certainly much less expensive in Panama and Guatemala. Habla Ya is also certified and teaches to international standards, as well as teaching medical professionals and other professional programs.
    Good luck with your Spanish!
    Veronica
