Metals, thus gold, have value due to industrial use. They also have ornamental use. Either way, the chance of them having zero value is small.

As far as I know, Canada has restrictions on use of medical benefits if you are out of the country for X days but the US has no restrictions – yet.
VictoriaLSTMemberTolls will run from c1500 to about c2200 depending on where you get off the road. Much better road although accidents do happen.

VictoriaLSTMemberJCM, you have a good point. Which is why I read the links that get posted and search for other links. It is also why I listen to facts presented in the garden club because gardening here is different from US gardening. I will probably continue to use mixed “organic” and “chemical” methods because I understand that plants take in molecules and aren’t much interested in where they came from.
I will continue to support GMOs and vaccines. I am not an expert in either but I don’t claim to be. I simply look at the facts, the science, ask questions of people who have backgrounds in science, and so on. I don’t depend on belief systems.
As for the “true intent of the government”, I hope you mean that the government has the best interests of its people at heart. That – as fact or fiction – is still a matter of debate.
VictoriaLSTMemberCouldn’t find a non-socialist country with a great mountain lake?
Do you even look for facts? At least I read the links you post. Well, for laughs at times.
Facts, woman, FACTS. One vaccine isn’t the world.
VictoriaLSTMemberYou still aren’t listening. Expected nothing more.
VictoriaLSTMemberAs for Mara and vaccines look at: RE: Crime in Costa Rica
Posted Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 9:12 AM which is where I posted definitively on vaccines. So lets not go through that again; unless you want to “believe” that the CDC, WHO, and the health reporting bodies of every nation on Earth are conspiring to manipulate the data on disease and vaccines. Perhaps you want to drink that Koolade, I do not.As to organic fertilizers, I could be convinced. As a member of Arenal Gardeners, I have been learning a lot about making manure teas (been using worm tea for years), and, with the lack of rain coming up, have decided to use it extensively. For the rainy season, my organic friends have persuaded me that the slow break down of manure is just the thing for the soil.
See that? Find me facts instead of an ingrained belief system and I respond positively. We right-wingers respond well to fact. Libtards? Tsk tsk tsk.
VictoriaLSTMember
If Costa Rica can feed its people then why introduce GMO’s. Let the rest of the world experiment if they choose. The governments can’t be trusted to tell the truth about anything. Trust in government that they will do right by us is the main problem in this world. We are lied to on a daily basis so how can we trust any data presented. The water in my town is so polluted that we don’t need to go to the pharmacy for drugs. But still in government standards.
The Problem? CR cannot feed its people. Even rice is imported.
VictoriaLSTMemberThanks, Scott. Too bad Mara lets emotions and her belief system get in the way of the facts.
VictoriaLSTMemberWho said I had CAJA? But you are so right about the heartless part. Big heartless me wants to know what is in the congressional bill before it gets signed. And big heartless me wants the 7,000,000 people who are losing their coverage to be able to make a choice. Merciless me wants children to get vaccinations so they don’t get sick and die of preventable disease. I want GMOs with larger crop yields to feed the hungry. I am a female Scrouge.
VictoriaLSTMemberMara, you just make me tired. You know that CAJA is required with a cedula. As for Obamacare, Pelosi said it herself – you have to enact it before you will know what’s in it – and the fools did. Thousands of pages that no one understood when they voted for it? And now we are getting bits and pieces of the facts? People losing healthcare? Millions still not covered? Skyrocketing costs? When will people like you stop getting the wool pulled over your eyes?
