Any new developments at Costa Developers that anyone is aware of and I may be missing? I tried to open their web site today and couldn’t(?) (Sent them ane-mail, but thought will put the question on the discussion board as well.)

Nera, Scott:

I received from Costa Developers a property search documentation (in English and Spanis) and (in Spanish only) what CD calls a “certificate from the National Registry that certifies the purchase of the property by Costa Estirellos Estates SA.” which is signed by Arnaldo Bonilla Quesada (CD attorney..), Notario Publico and has a stamp of Registro Nacional.

I sent these documents to Mr. Fernandez for his opinion.

Scott, could you please release Nera’s and mine e-mail addresses to each of us? This is an important decision for both of us, and I am hesitant to release certain legal docs etc on a public forum.

We will still advise others on the outcome and a justification for any decisions we make.

Have you received a response to your additional questions from Mr. Bonilla? We are trying to get tickets (not easy) to go and see the lot (we have 60 days to make a decision, as per the contract.

Also, how did you receive the “folio number”? I have a “lot number” in the contract we signed – is that the same thing..?

Costa Developers are working with Arnaldo Bonilla & Associates Attorneys. They will prepare all documentation once we make a purchase decision when in CR. They were recently, the Costa Develpers’ brochure says, rated one of the top three firms in the country by Noticieros, one of the leading financial publications in Central America.

Do I still need my own attorney, I wonder..

And here I am thinking of buying a 1/2 acre lot (just the lot) 1000m from the beach at $60,000, pre-construction – at Costa Esterillos, near Jaco..

We are going to visit with Costa Developers early in August to make a final decision…

If I find a reasonable flight schedule from the East Cost – not easy.

We have just put significant money into escrow toward a downpayment on a couple of pre-development lots in Costa Esterillos Development (15 Minutes south of Jaco) by Costa Developers. They claim they have successfully sold out all lots within their first similar development within 4 months (Costa Montana, north of Jaco), as well as within Phase I of the Esterillos project.

We are invited to visit and confirm our committment within 60 days.

Anyone’s experience/opinion on the projects progress / prospects would be most appreciated.
