I agree if you have your cedula number and want to find the amount of taxes owed.
If you don’t know your corporations cedula number, you sign up and in, and there you can investigate it.
If the cedula number isn’t known it must mean one doesn’t have the corporate books and documents.

Without them you may find that someone else has documents that show that they own the property and you have no property.

Trying to fight a court battle in Costa Rica is a money losing proposition no matter how you figure it. The legal procedings could cost more than the property is worth.
On this webpage you can find out your cedula number:

    https://www.rnpdigital.com/index.htm

You have to sign up and get a password.
It helps if you speak/understand Spanish, it is not available in English.

If you want to PM me your property- or plano number I can find it for you. Or call your attorney in C.R.
I have never signed up and don’t have a password. I just click on the proper link and enter the cedula number and the information is displayed.

Flights and rents are cheaper from April through October. You might want to consider changing your timing for a visit.

Total length of the canal would exceed 300 miles vs the 40 miles if the Panama Isthmus.

    Good luck.
anyone want to take a gander as to how much this whole trip with the U.S. king will cost the american taxpayer???

i avoid saying names because in case secret service is tailing this forum :shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

I would wager including airforce one and personnel and $$$$ gifts to CR

    $5 million

    what say wagonner???
Knowing the increase in security required by the Bush after 9/11 is still in play I don’t think the $5 million is out of line.

Fact is, it isn’t the cost of his trip to the taxpayers that bothers me. It pales next to the economic affect on Costa Rica.

We visited the embassy one time in 2008. They wouldn’t have the slightest idea whether we are still here or not.

No one is interested enough to look for us much less interview us.

    Move to Alaska?
I have three brothers and three sisters living in Alaska.
They bring down mosquitos with surface to air missles and complain about the “no-see-um’s”.:lol::lol:
—:lol:Stupid me I guess. I didn’t realize Alaska had mosquito’s….that’s why my original post ended with a “?”.
Lack of experience doesn’t equal stupid. 😆

The only place that I know of that may not have the pesky creatures is the Antarctic but I wouldn’t bet on it.
There is an interesting article in La Nacion today about the number of Americans living in Costa Rica.

“If” it’s correct and accurate, according to 2012 National Report on Immigration and Integration, Costa Rica is home to 16,000 U.S. citizens who live in Costa Rica for more than 6 months in the year.

Half of the Americans living in Costa Rica are 29 years old or younger and most work in teaching and prefer to live in San Jose and Perez Zeledon.

U.S. citizens are the third largest immigrant group in Costa Rica in terms of population, after Nicaraguans and Colombians.

41% of these households are foreigners are married couples with children, 42% of those over 12 years old are working and 19% are retired.

Of those who work, most are in teaching, administrative activities and support services, and in business. Nearly half of those employed are working in private companies, and a quarter of them are self-employed.

The preferred living locations are San Jose, Perez Zeledon, Escazú, Alajuela, Santa Ana and Santa Cruz.

The U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica preferred not to comment on the statistics because they had no knowledge of them (??)

But do you think this is accurate?
The U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica is just part of another typical government bureaucracy.

    Patience IS the primary ingredient.

Dealing with any governmental agency or department is a challenge.

I can not count the number of times I have had to ask “¿alguien habla Inglés? Necesito un poco de ayuda.”
After five years things are getting much easier.

Please forward my heartfelt feelings of sadness for something like this to happen.

I can not even imagine being in such a position.
