SJ is for flying in and waving back too for me,as I make for the hills or beach.it took one minute and three seconds in 1992 to realize that.
I’m not trying to split hairs, just was adding what was stated when this new law came into effect.
Hey, we have 2 pergolas and didn’t apply for any permits….
I wasn’t really pointing it at you, just sharing info.often folks make more out of or read things into something thats relatively harmless.
and from bein here for A minute, you have seemingly applied sense to what rules are useable and which are sensless.
I could safely say, that were you to do something that could be affected seizmically, you’d do so properly.
hence your just putting your pergolas up and goin on with pura vida.

ok,roof, are we applying semantics to the word “roof”?
roof is the upper COVERING of a house in or by construction terms.
A pergola has joist,attached to A girder,spaced from each other.supported by poles,or 2 walls with bands,then girders.
some folks will run lateral slats,1×4? spaced usually the same as the nominal lats, then it becomes A trellised pergola or trellis.
at least thats what the code enforcement descriptions, and blueprint descriptions say.

have you decided where you will stay?
that would help.folks know folks all over the country and it’s little areas.Arenal,Fortuna,Guanacaste,Jaco/hermossa,dominical,puerto Viejo and so on.
narrow it down and folks might be able provide more info.
or you could get an inexpensive room for A few days and scout around.

theirs an old saying in Miami.I won’t quote it verbatim, but it translates to this.
theirs one profession much cheaper than lawyers and much more effective.
personally i’m surprised he still has A heartbeat.
I was livin in the central pacific.and all the while hangin out at a friends coffee shop. this co. and it’s owners names were heard from people comin to try to “do something” every day.
they would laugh at me when I would tell them they were beat like A costa rican dog,as if it were not known.
like momma used to say,my the mighty tide.
their will only be one winner.and “nobody” is an entity.
I only want to impose my way of thinking to the people who come over my fence and try to harm my family..this hasnt happened yet and I have been here for almost 2 years and have been coming for 7 years without incident…but I rather be able to handle the situation if it arises..I have heard of problems from others on this forum..and yes by the way since u dont live here maybe you should hold your opinion until u do…It might change…dont you think???
I see the logic,as you do and some don’t.
partly for anyone, the problem lies in the response of law enforcement.
yep, theirs places they will never get to with rapid response.because of their location.
then theirs places they COULD get to and don’t.
folks feel the need to defend themselves, when those in place to do so fail, epicly.
it’s A reality, they are slow, limited and lack concern for even their own kind.
it’s like a tico told me,when they get that small bit of police notoriety, they don’t think much of those beneath them.
they have A strong sense of race drive.the Fresas hate the polos, who hate the caballeros, who hate the come’ juevos.
and many of them have come to,or always have/will hate the gringo juevon’ijo de,you fill in the rest.
which is no big deal, some of us have dealt with eacism directed at us and theirs no issue.those who haven’t dealt with it incoming do have issues,it’s unfamiliar territory.

Let’s play nicely please!

Would it be perhaps be sensible to ask in some of the local synagogues if they had any more information about this?

Or would a traditional Rabbi consider this blasphemous? I don’t know…

Scott
According to the Jewish Federation, The Messianic Jews are not accepted as practicing Jews into the religion/synagogues.
For they believe in Jesus and that is not incorporated in Judaism .
This is a big movement, for Christians who want the best of both worlds.
For those that want facts, just Google up the movement.

Shalom.
and wanting the best of both worlds.

on A costa rican web site,in a country that has people wondering how they can move, live, keep some american comforts,in A much nicer setting.
isn’t that an effort towards the best of both worlds?
some business folks with business that can be run in the US,or Ca.n or europe, from costa rican soil, doesn’t that have the same tone?
my,seem so to me.
I did google it,and I did talk to someone who is informative.
they told me that no one has the cornerstone on peace, regardless of faith or belief.
and that sooner or later, each ones day of reckoning comes.
I am not to judge, that is what my higher power does.and it’ll be only me he judges.

I don’t like what preist feel they have the liberty to do to little boys,or that the preacher has A girlfriend and A wife,or the Rabbi was falling down drunk at a Bah-Mitzvah.
as to this persons religous right/choice,I googled it,read some of the sites, gleaned some info and realized that people seek yet another spiritual parh.
I agree on both points, about not having something to say,and then again not being silenced.
in this situation,it is one of the either ors, religion, and politics.
they are people seeking peace.and that right has been squandered and with A Fidel effort.

it’s not my religion.it’s someone elses.I just read up in it from a few sites and acquired a derivative and posted about it.you don’t have to follow or believe something to be open-minded enough to understand.
like cheating on your spouse.I have never done it,it dirty nasty.I know people who have, hence my opinion of it/them.
