HGTV’s New “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” TV Show To Be Filmed in Guanacaste
Home and Garden Television (HGTV) has set its sights on Costa Rica. This time, for their newer “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” TV show!
This popular HGTV show elected to focus on the beaches of northwest Guanacaste including the lesser travelled but very beautiful Playa Junquillal and Playa Negra with some scenes in Playa Tamarindo as well. This is the first time the show has gone outside of the USA to film and decided to feature Costa Rica twice for next season!
Recently Costa Rica has gained popularity as a travel and real estate investment destination, being featured on many shows on HGTV and the Travel Channel in the USA, Canada and beyond.
Filming for Beachfront Bargain Hunt will take place from January 29th to February 1st with the New York City based film crew with Magilla TV Inc. Beachfront Bargain hunt takes viewers on a tour of international real estate shopping with buyers and their real estate agent as they view properties that are beachfront or have beach access—the only catch, is it has to be a true bargain–less than US$375,000. This show truly does make you feel that you don’t have to be a millionaire or a dreamer to buy a home right on the beach!
I will have the pleasure of taking my clients Dan and Kara, from Colorado, on a great tour that took them through several beach areas to see homes and villas. Ultimately Dan and Kara have to decide if their budget of US$250,000 will get them everything they have dreamed of or if it’s just a pipe dream!

I’m looking to purchase a beachfront bargain in Guantacste and am seeking as much information as I can get as to options available. Am thinking of coming down in February to look. I’ve been to Costa Rica twice before and just LOVE IT! Pura vida:)
