My Philosophy On ‘Middle Age’ in Costa Rica.
Having just turned 56 years old I wanted to make my thoughts clear for those comedians out there who now accuse me of being ‘old.’
Pah!
You see here’s the way I look at it …
If I’m classified as an adult only when I reach the age of 18 years then my real ‘adult’ life doesn’t begin until then, right?
Since I have every intention of living until I’m 100 years old – and only dying after we’ve finished making love (please see note #1 below) – then there are a total of 82 ‘adult’ years during that time, correct?
So if we divide 82 years into 2 we get 41 which is smack, dab in the middle of our ‘adult’ years, you’re still with me, yes?
So if I add 41 on top of those first 18 years that means that ‘middle age’ only begins at age 59, correct?
So therefore at age 56 I’m still 3 years away from even starting my “middle-ageness,” right?
Dadah!
* Note #1: Please don’t tell my wife! 🙂
