[custom_script adID=149]
The Nicoya Peninsula is still one of the most beautiful unspoiled areas in Costa Rica with a tropical climate year round, where the warm waters of the Pacific meet the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Nicoya. A beautiful location that many come to experience and reside in, this peninsula is separated from the mainland of Costa Rica by the Gulf of Nicoya, and the Tempisque estuary. It is situated in the southwestern part of the nation, and the countryside here is overlooked by many travelers: aside from the beautiful beaches, there are still great places here to experience eco-tourism.

The coast is where most of the activity seems to be as far as migration: nearly everyone moving in is coming here for a taste of the beaches, and cattle raising is the main focus in the inland areas. The small villages here are known for each having a very distinct charm, and this is where some of the best surfing on the globe is located.

The Peninsula is strategically located on the Pacific Coast with banks, supermarkets, shopping, medical facilities, veterinarians, hardware stores, and the list just goes on. In Playa Tambor there is a fishing pier where you can buy fresh fish daily and an organic food market on Saturdays with fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, breads and even fresh goat cheeses. (These cheeses are a must try)!
