Palmares Festival Begins Today – 10th January 2007 at 6pm

Thousands of party lovers will descend on the town of Palmares West of San Jose later today for the beginning of the 12 day Palmares festival.

Some of the attractions include bull fights, live music, soccer tournaments, carnivals, rodeos and more.

The special guest for this year’s Palmares festival will be the Mexican singer Pedro Fernández.

Amongst the participating groups you will be entertained by are:

3. Latin Star from Ipis/Guadal
4. Los Cumbeiros de Alajuelita
5. Ritmo Y Sabor from Alajuela
6. Corazon Latino from Pavas
7. Ritmo Prof from San Francisco de Dos Rios
8. Imperio del Sabor from Alajuelita
9. Sabor Ritmico from Guadalupe
10. Rumba Latina from Ipis/Goicoec
11. Ritmo Tropical from Alajuelita
12. Cumbancheiros from Alajuela
13. Cumbancheros from Barranca
14. Sabor del Mambo from Guadalupe
