Living in Jaco, Costa Rica allows me to appreciate and be grateful for so many things, but perhaps what I can appreciate the most in my life is the fact that I don’t have to deal with traffic!

If there is something I have little tolerance for it’s sitting in bumper to bumper traffic and waiting an hour to move a couple miles.

For millions of people throughout the world this is a sad part of their lives that they just can’t avoid. Commuting to and from work every day is just a way of life for many.

Fortunately for me and thousands of others living in Jaco, we can walk or bike almost anywhere in town.

No doubt the accessibility to restaurants, cafes, theater, parks, concerts, and the beach is one of the reasons why Jaco is so popular.

There are some great condo communities centrally located in Jaco that are perfect for those who like to be able to walk to town and/or the beach and are looking to escape the hectic, stressful, and miserable traffic.

While I do admit I still drive as part of my job, it’s nice knowing that heavy traffic in Jaco means me taking 8 minutes to get across town instead of 5 minutes!

I grew up in the city, and enjoy visiting the city now and then, but on a day to day basis I will take the calm and peaceful life in Jaco all day long.
