Playa Tamarindo is the main beach in town and it can get a little crowded as people gather to mark the end of another perfect day with a spectacular light show. There’s a secret to enjoying the sunset with a little more privacy in Tamarindo. Head south until you end up in Playa Langosta. Look between the two beaches and you will spy a rocky cliff. Head towards that cliff and after a bit of a hike you will arrive at your destination. Here you will be able to enjoy the sunset without the crowds and marvel at the sunlight sparkling off the waves which break against the rocks — like a handful of diamond dust thrown into the wind.
